Ecuador & The Galapagos
Beaches, snorkelling, scuba diving, wildlife viewing, cruises, amazon, cultural sightseeing, trekking, riding
Gateway to the Galapagos – but oh, so much more. Given its fascinating Spanish colonial cities, spectacular Andean scenery, virgin Amazonian rainforest and rich, indigenous culture, we think Ecuador is one of South America’s most underrated destinations.
Most visitors are simply shunted past the country’s interior on their way to the islands but we have discovered some lovely, small lodges in areas where tourism treads very lightly.
Ecuador is a very special place to spend some time. Being on the equator, Ecuador can be visited all year round but its many different micro-climates mean that you’ll need careful advice from our destination experts.
Best visited: All year round
All itineraries are individually designed, but as a guide, we can arrange ten days in Ecuador and The Galapagos (excluding flights) from £3900 per person
