My Little Secret

After a long, tiring day of driving along South Africa's stunning Garden Route we decided we needed to stretch our legs and have a bit of fresh air so we came off the main road and drove down a very steep, narrow lane towards Nature's Valley Beach.
As I stepped out of the car a cool wind hit my face. Looking down, I noticed that apart from a few people walking their dogs, the long stretch of beach was completely deserted. It was absolutely beautiful, surrounded by forests and cliffs on either side - it felt like our own private beach.
The sun began to set, creating the most amazing colors over the sand...and then the dune jumping competition began - it was exactly what we all needed to wake ourselves up. Staring out over the misty sea I couldn't believe how incredible it was to have this amazing beach all to ourselves - it felt like we had stumbled upon a real secret...
