One day we will go back
Michele Jeffery, Client

In the Okavango Delta we caught fish, watched a lioness and her daughter try (and fail) to make a kill and photographed a small pod of hippo. All the while we were in a boat and I made Cedric, our wonderful guide, promise he had a sure fire escape route. I never felt truly frightened. I felt we were always in good hands. Cedric is very special and has a particular gift for magical storytelling.

I was brokenhearted that day we had to say goodbye to Africa. Our last guide, Moronga, (who I still miss) with the help of his tracker, Go, made our daughter a model of a fishing trap which I was determined to bring home in one piece. It sits proudly in our living room. One day we will go back to Africa and until that day Africa will hold the best memories. It's very difficult to find one single word to capture the feeling. I have to believe that there isn't one available, at least not in my vocabulary. But there is one somewhere. Maybe after our next visit I'll know what it is.
