Zimbabwe
A beautiful and fascinating country, with the magnificent Victoria Falls, large wildlife reserves, great tracts of untamed wilderness and the evocative ruins of Great Zimbabwe, it offers a great deal to inspire the traveller. Sadly, however, Zimbabwe’s unstable political situation now dominates most headlines, rather than the splendour which it has to offer: Hwange National Park has one of the densest concentrations of wildlife in Africa, and remote Mana Pools has a true sense of wilderness and space.
Victoria Falls, the main tourist hub of the country, serves up a plethora of activities, with a healthy dose of adrenalin for the adventurous. Regardless of the political situation, however, we have always preferred the less commercialised, Zambian side of the Falls.
ZIMBABWE USED TO BE ONE OF OUR FAVOURITE AND MOST POPULAR DESTINATIONS. IT IS STILL POSSIBLE TO TRAVEL THERE BUT, FOR THE TIME BEING, WE DON’T ACTIVELY RECOMMEND IT AND FEW CLIENTS CHOOSE TO GO.
